Hello Thunderbird family=2C and welcome to the future of Thunderbird! Thun=
derbird 115 =E2=80=9CSupernova=E2=80=9D represents a modernized overhaul o=
f the software while keeping the familiarity and flexibility you expect fr=
om Thunderbird.

We have enabled manual upgrades from version 102 to version 115 for Window=
s and macOS users. Here=E2=80=99s how to get it:

Click the App Menu (=E2=89=A1) > Help > =E2=80=9CAbout Thunderbird=E2=80=

You should see a prompt to update to version 115 that looks similar to thi=

 Thunderbird won=E2=80=99t automatically change your layout on existing pr=
ofiles.

** Step 1: Turn On Vertical View
------------------------------------------------------------

First=2C click on the App Menu (=E2=89=A1) and choose =E2=80=9CView=E2=80=
=9D=2C followed by =E2=80=9CLayout=2C=E2=80=9D and then select =E2=80=9CVe=
rtical View.=E2=80=9D This will rearrange the Folder pane=2C Message List=
 pane=2C and Message pane to be displayed side-by-side.

** Step 2: Turn On Cards View
------------------------------------------------------------

Next=2C let=E2=80=99s switch on =E2=80=9CCards=E2=80=9D view. This new way=
 of displaying your message list is simpler and more compact=2C to help re=
duce cognitive burden when you view the list. And it=E2=80=99s easy to act=
ivate. Look immediately to the right of the =E2=80=9CQuick Filter=E2=80=9D=
 area for the =E2=80=9CMessage List Display Options=E2=80=9D icon. Click i=
t=2C and select =E2=80=9CCards View=E2=80=9D as seen in the GIF below.

** Step 3: Turn On =E2=80=9CTags=E2=80=9D Folder Mode
------------------------------------------------------------

If Tags are an important part of your workflow=2C now it=E2=80=99s easier=
 than ever to access them. In the Folder Pane Options menu (=E2=8B=AF) nex=
t to the =E2=80=9CNew Message=E2=80=9D button=2C click =E2=80=9CFolder Mod=
es=E2=80=9D and then choose =E2=80=9CTags=E2=80=9D as seen in the GIF belo=
w.

** BONUS TIP: Font Size And Density Settings
------------------------------------------------------------

Thunderbird 115 also makes it very easy to change the density and font siz=
e across the entire application. Simply click on the App Menu (=E2=89=A1)=
 and choose the Density setting (Compact=2C Default=2C or Relaxed) that fe=
els the most comfortable. Then click +/- (plus=2C minus) next to Font Size=
 to scale the size of text.
